Thomas grew up in the valley of Lauterbrunnen and in a hut high above it. He knows the Bernese Oberland better than his own living room and couldn't imagine any better place to live. Already as a child he went skitouring and hiking with his parents and learnt everything about those wonderful mountains
Thomas has a great knowledge on the local plant and animal life of our region. With a bit of luck you get to join Thomas for some wildlife observation...

Bettina Hutmacher
Bettina is an Interlaken local and her great grandfather built the house that now hosts Interlaken Apartments. Bettina knows all the secret spots around Interlaken that have not been discovered by the tourists yet... in the blog with the insider tips she reveals some of those places, her favourite things to do and see in and around Interlaken and tells about her days in this wonderful region... - it's worth taking a look every now and then!

Kim
Kim is a Bernese hunting dog and belongs to Thomas and Bettina. His favourite things to do are long hikes with his owners, sleeping, relaxing by the lake and eating. Sometimes he gets to join Bettina when she's working in the office where he has a little bed.
Dogs are welcome at Interlaken Apartments! Because of Kim we know all the nice walks, the dog-friendly restaurants and the best places to go for a swim... Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your dog
